Vehicle parts stolen Posted: Friday, March 9, 2012 6:41 pm The Messenger, March 8, 2012 Martin police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from three new vehicles at an automotive dealership. Police responded Wednesday to Taylor Automotive on Highway 22 in Martin, where an employee said someone had stolen catalytic converters and particulate filters from three new Dodge Ram diesel trucks, according to a Martin Police Department report. The theft was discovered about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and the employee told police the incident had to have occurred sometime after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The systems on the trucks will cost an estimated $8,000 each to repair before they can be put back on the lot to be sold, police reported. |
