It’s once again time to for us to get outside and enjoy some time with local horses and their friends.
The Gibson County Saddle Club is almost ready for its seventh fun-filled season.
As always they will have open arena nights for people to practice or just hang out with friends, game nights where riders compete in games on horseback, and point shows where people can show how their hard work and practice has paid off.
Several changes have been made this year’s schedule, ranging from age groups in the point show classes to awards requirements.
Competitors will be happy to hear that the amount of work hours to qualify for year-end awards has been decreased.
For more information regarding the changes see the club’s facebook page or contact one of the Board Members.
This year’s Board Members are president – Teresa Burkett from Trenton; vice president – Jason Shaver from Gibson; secretary – Suanna Geater and Natalie Temple, both from Trenton; treasurer – Lisa Shaver from Gibson.  Additional board members include, Liz Whitmore from Martin; Teresa Vanover from Gadsden; Chris Temple from Trenton; and Darrell Thpmpson from Jackson.
