The First Baptist Church in Martin’s disaster relief team has packed supplies and headed to Illinois to aid the victims of recent tornadoes.
The team is trained to provide mass feedings in disaster recovery situations.
A team left Wednesday to begin preparing meals for the first round of relief.
A second group of volunteers is leaving this weekend and the goal is to haul a trailer full of supplies to the affected areas through the Salvation Army.

• Hand sanitizer
• Non-perishable foods
• Personal hygiene products
• Coloring books
• Crayons
• Paper towels.
Donations must be dropped off at the two locations by Friday afternoon to ensure delivery over the weekend.
