Mak to present recital
Mak to present recital Posted: Friday, March 9, 2012 12:43 pm Hoi Yan Mak, an international student from Hong Kong, will present her junior voice recital at 7:30 p.m. on March 18 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Martin. Mak, whose American name is Vivian, will perform ten pieces ranging from the Baroque period to the twentieth century, as well as two opera arias by Mozart and Strauss. The music will be sung in four different languages: English, Italian, German and French She is studying vocal performance under the instruction of Dr. Amy Yeung, associate professor of music at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Ms. Delana Easley will accompany Mak on the piano. The performance is free and open to the public.
