Nelle Catherine (Perry) Anderson, 89, of Bossier City, La., died March 1, 2012. She was a former resident of this area.
Graveside services were Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Haughton, La., with Billy Pierce officiating. Pallbearers were Staff Sgt. Victor Burns, Patrick Burns, Joey Prewett, Macy Terrell, Richard Barteet and Pat Spears. Honorary pallbearer was Sam Smith.
She was born in Obion County, daughter of the late Herman and Beatrice Catherine (Nichols) Perry, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Paul Anderson of Bossier City; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Charles Burns of Bossier City; her sister, Josephine Weaver of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Staff Sgt. Victor and Amanda Burns of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Allison and Joey Prewett, Patrick Burns and Katherine Anderson, all of Bossier City; three great-grandchildren, Ava Delorenzo, Katherine Prewett and Natalie Prewett, all of Bossier City; her brother-in-law, Clay Grant of Bon Secour, Ala.; her sister-in-law, Edith Kairit of Como, Miss.; and many nieces and nephews, including Charlotte Erwin of Union City and Carolyn Roberts of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.F. Anderson Jr.; and two brothers, Thurman Perry and Thomas Perry.
