A LOT OFF THE TOP – Martin Elementary School third grader Jonathan Summers (right) was one of the students who helped shave Travis Bearden’s head.  Bearden’s wife, Rachel, is a teacher at MES. Each year her class participates in a school-wide canned goods drive for We Care Ministries sponsored by the UT Martin Student Athletic Advisory. She and her husband challenge the third-grade students to win the drive with the motivation to be able to shave his head if they win. The class collected more than 240 cans for the drive.
