Rebs, UC set sectional ticket policy
Two girls’ basketball teams in Obion County have their sectional round tickets punched.
Starting Friday, fans of both can start buying tickets.
Union City and Obion County Central will host substate games Saturday night, the Lady Tornadoes playing in their first-ever such game against Adamsville and the Lady Rebels taking on Oakhaven from Memphis.
Both local schools are offering tickets in advance, with sales scheduled for Friday.
Union City will be selling advance tickets for its Class A game at the high school from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, and Obion Central will pre-sell tickets to Saturday’s Class 2A sectional during school hours on Friday.
Ticket prices for both games are $7 each — that admission price set by the TSSAA.
All tickets at the two venues will be general admission and seating will be first-come, first served with no reserve seating.
At Central, doors will open for the 7 p.m. tip-off at 5:30.
Obion Central Athletic Director Craig Rogers stressed there will be no “seat-saving” allowed for the Lady Rebels’ game.
For further information, fans can call the schools — Union City at 885-2373 and Obion Central at 536-4688. Published in The Messenger 3.1.12
