Paula (Wheatley) Trahan, 72, of Troy died Feb. 28, 2012, at her home.
A funeral mass is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Trahan, Jacob Trahan, Noah Trahan, Jackson Trahan, Ethan Trahan and Robert Shupp.
The family requests that memorials be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 214 Overlook Circle, Suite 153, Brentwood, TN 37027; or Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Dyersburg, daughter of the late Milton “Bill” and Flora (Ramey) Wheatley. She was married to Tom Trahan, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Melissa Trahan and Noel and Jackie Trahan, all of Phoenix; her brother, Bill Wheatley of Troy; her sister, Sondra Shupp of Troy; five grandsons, Eli Trahan, Jacob Trahan, Noah Trahan, Jackson Trahan and Ethan Trahan, all of Phoenix; her niece, Shanna Shupp of Troy; two nephews, Robert Shupp and Javan Wheatley, both of Troy; and her great-niece, Mikayla Shupp of Troy.
