Saturday singing set
On Saturday at Ms. Carolyn’s First Saturday Night Sing at Crossroads Worship Center in Braggadocio, Mo., the featured group will be the Women of Faith Trio from Dyersburg. For other performers, Trac sing is set for 5 p.m., band time is at 6 and feature time is at 7. There is no admission charge and there will be free drinks and Turner Dairy ice cream bars. Those attending are encouraged to bring finger foods for sharing. Everyone is invited and everyone is given an opportunity to sing, according to the master of ceremonies, Stephannie Aaron.
      
CP services told
Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be celebrating Denominational Dedication by focusing on “What Does Seminary Mean To Me” on Sunday. The denomination will be sending out seminary students into many congregations this Sunday.
Jamie Adams, youth director for the local church, will be the speaker on Sunday. Her sermon title will be “Don’t Stop Believin’,” based on Romans 4:13-25. Mrs. Adams is a student at Memphis Theological Seminary and is working on her master’s degree.
The community is invited to attend the 11 a.m. worship service at 631 East Church St. A nursery will be available and services are also broadcast live on WOBT-TV.

New time announced
Antioch Union Church in the Crystal community will begin church services at 9 a.m. Sunday. This will be the new worship time for the congregation.
The pastors are the Revs. Walt Asher and Mitch Doulton.

Come to the movie
Family Movie Night is planned at Exchange Street Church of Christ Saturday at 6 p.m. From the creators of “Fireproof” comes “Courageous: Honor Begins at Home,” which will be the feature film at this free event. Popcorn and drinks will also be offered at no charge.
A second free movie will also be shown in the “kids’ room” for those in second grade or below.
The community is invited to attend at 420 Exchange St. in Union City.
The congregation will begin a series of studies based on the movie Sunday through March 25, with separate classes for men and women following the 9 a.m. worship service each week.

Special services set
Church of Jesus for All will be hosting a two-day event Saturday and Sunday and members invited the community to join them.
On Saturday at 7 p.m., the Rev. Zebediah Rice of Open Door Church of God in Christ in Dyersburg will speak on the themes “Sow a Seed: Seedtime and Harvest.”
Services will continue at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Harry Hayes and the congregation invite all to join them at 817 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City.

Plates lunches offered
Manna Ministries will be selling plate lunches featuring a choice of chicken and dumplings or chicken and dressing Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The meal will also include two vegetables and slaw and plates will sell for $6.50.
The Rev. Ruth Green and the congregation invite the community to enjoy this good eating by picking up meals at 4001 Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City.

Revival to begin
Home Street Church of God at 417 South Home St. in Union City will host revival services Sunday through Wednesday. Sunday’s times of gathering will be at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., with weeknight services at 7.
The Rev. Brandon Gates of Dayton will be the speaker. He is a full-time evangelist and the fifth generation of his family to serve in Church of God.
The congregation invites the community to join them and be blessed by “anointed singing and old-time Pentecostal preaching.”

To sell catfish
PEOC Ministry will be selling fried catfish and buffalo fish dinners for $6.50 Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at 2131 Nailling Drive in Union City. The plates will include fish, cole slaw, white beans, hushpuppies, dessert and soft drinks for dine-in or carry-out customers.
On  Sunday, the congregation will be selling lasagna, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink for $5 at the same address.

Women’s event set
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located at 603 South Second St. in Union City, will host the Western Area Spiritual Journey event “Our Sacred Story Connections,” Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The Rev. Elaine Blanchard, minister, writer, storyteller and actor, will be the special guest for this Tennessee Disciples Women’s Ministries event.
Registration will be $15 and this includes lunch.

The Duo to sing
The Duo will be at Oak Hill United Methodist  Church five miles east of Frontier Telephone office on Hyndsver Road near Martin Sunday at 11 a.m. Cathy Barnett and the congregation invite the community to join them.

Auction planned
An auction set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Union City’s First Pentecostal Church, located at the intersection of West Main Street and Old Lake Road, will benefit the congregation’s Sunday school department.
The community is invited to enjoy the event.
