Two men have been arrested for theft in connection with the alleged theft of a car from a Union City man in January.
Kevin Stowe, 45, of 1107 East Main St., Union City, and Christopher J. Beeler, 40, of 227 Cochran St., Troy, were arrested Wednesday night and each charged with theft over $500, according to a Union City Police Department report and arrest cards.
The charge against each of them stems from a police report filed Jan. 27 by Jared Hamlin of Union City, who told police his white 1997 Chrysler Sebring was taken from where it was parked at his previous residence at 205 North Home St. in Union City.
On Jan. 18, a white rollback wrecker, with no company name on the side, came to the residence and towed the vehicle. Hamlin’s previous roommates told him the vehicle was towed, according to the report.
This week’s arrests came following an ongoing investigation by police.
