Dwayne Harding Maxey

Rev. Dwayne Harding Maxey, 45, of Martin died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eastside Baptist Church in Martin with Rev. Sing Oldham officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements.
Jeff Maxey, Lloyd Essary, Adam Essary, Eric Essary, Danndy Roberts, Allen Drewry and Coytt Phillips served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were John Buford, Troy Garrett, Chris Mansfield, Michael Markle, Steve Matheny, Donnie McWherter and Donnie White.
Maxey was born May 22, 1966 in Union City, son of Barbara Allen Royster Maxey of Dresden and the late Richard Harding Maxey. He was a graduate of Dresden High School. He was a United States Navy veteran and a Baptist minister at Eastside Baptist Church in Martin.
Survivors also include his wife, Mrs. Allison Bates Maxey of Martin; one son, Lucas Harding Maxey of Martin; two daughters, Mary Katherine Maxey and Bailey Jo Maxey, both of Martin; one brother, Jeff Maxey of Medina; and one grandson, Hayden Wayne Maxey of Martin.
