Dresden native passes CPA exam

Shelley Holt Swearingen of Dresden has recently passed the Certified Public Accounting Exam. Swearingen has been with the regional accounting firm Alexander, Thompson, Arnold PLLC since June 2005 in the Paris location.
She was recently promoted to manager after seven years of service. Her expertise includes all facets of tax accounting as well as employee benefit plans, including 401k, 403b, and profit sharing plans. Swearingen said she strives to learn as much about the field as possible to provide the highest quality services to her clients. She is known for her attention to detail and customer relationship skills.
Swearingen is a 2000 graduate of Dresden High School. She received her undergraduate degree in 2004 from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She then received her Master of Accountancy degree in 2005 from UTM graduating Magna Cum Laude.
She is the daughter of Kelley and Sheila Swearingen of Dresden and the granddaughter of Sylvia and the late Charles Swearingen of Dresden and the late Albert and Syble Holt of Alamo.
