Edward Leon Caldwell Jr., 87, of Holly Springs, Miss., formerly of Union City, died Feb. 26, 2012, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center in Holly Springs.
There will be no services. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
He was born March 11, 1925, in Obion County, son of the late Jessie (Adkison) and Edward Leon Caldwell Sr. He married the former Irene Castleman Nov. 21, 1948. She survives. He was a heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Navy veteran who had served with the Seabees in World War II. He was also a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church in Holly Springs.
