|Accident claims Dresden woman

A single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon has claimed the life of a young Dresden woman.
According a to a report issued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Felicia Workman of Dresden was traveling northbound on state Highway 89 when 2002 Chevy Silverado truck left the left side of the roadway at the intersection of Bowlin Road, six miles north of Dresden.
Workman’s vehicle apparently struck a utility pole then struck a tree.
The accident occurred around noon Wednesday.
Workman was killed in the incident.
She was not wearing a seat belt at the time. Trooper Charles Forsythe handled the investigation. The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, ambulance service and rescue squad also responded the incident.
