Mason Hall FCE Club holds monthly session

The Mason Hall Family and Community Education Club met recently.
President Frances Allen welcomed visitors Lilly McCaig, Dianne Austin, Kathy Page and Bobby and Brenda Moore.
Hostesses Nettie B. Moore and Frances Allen decorated the center with early spring buttercups.
Attending were 17 women members, eight men members, five visitors and Obion County Extension agent Benita Giffin.
After recitation of the club creed and the Pledge of Allegiance, Mrs. Allen read the “Thought for the Day”: “Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart and the joy in a heart.”
Betty Jo Luton’s devotional theme was “Be Strong in God’s Grace.” Her biblical reference was II Timothy 2:1. She asked for prayer requests and closed in prayer.
Roll call was answered with members telling what they love doing more than anything in the world.
Mrs. Allen reported on the recent county council meeting. Achievement Day will be at Mason Hall on March 12. Cultural Arts will be at the Farm Bureau Building on April 2.
The Good Neighbor Report was collected.
Mrs. Giffin presented a program from the National Institute on Aging titled “Age Page Heart Health.” She also told of upcoming classes on Living With Chronic Conditions, which help individuals think more positively about life while living with chronic conditions.
Taking Charge of Diabetes classes will also be offered.
