Martin Police investigate weekend vandalism

The Martin Police Department is investigating the weekend vandalism of the local Masonic Lodge.
According to an incident report, officers were called to the Masonic Lodge on Highway 45 South late Saturday afternoon in reference to a vandalism.
The person making the call said when he arrived at the Lodge Saturday afternoon he found the door unlocked and approximately two inches of standing water throughout the building.
According to the report, the water was overflowing from the men’s bathroom toilet.
After turning off the water supply to the toilet, he said he noticed a roll of toilet paper pushed into the toilet preventing it from draining properly.
A plastic toilet paper holder had also apparently been stuck between the rubber seal and water return opening.
There was damage to the floor base plate and drywall. No items were reported missing from the Lodge at the time of the report.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-877-364-TIPZ or 587-2611.
Information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for the crimes will be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
