Friday morning wreck on Highway 22 between Dresden and Martin

SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Weakley County Ambulance Service personnel and members of the Martin Fire Department work to free 49-year-old Janet Halliburton from her Oldsmobile Friday morning. Halliburton ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail before coming to a rest upside down off of Highway 22 between Dresden and Martin that morning. Trooper Baron Cooper of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Halliburton has been charged with DUI 1st offense and simple possession. He said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time. She was airlifted to The Med in Memphis by Air Evac Lifeteam, who landed the helicopter on the four-lane highway. The Martin Police Department and Weakley County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
