The Dresden Duplicate Bridge Club met Feb. 8 and had a challenge to see if we would have enough players to have a game. With so many of our players from all our cities gone on a Caribbean Cruise to play the wonderful game of Bridge, we were a little doubtful. But, sure enough, 12 players filed in and we had a wonderful, fun-filled afternoon.
We had a table filled with plenty of goodies – chicken salad with spring onions, which was a different twist, pineapple pimento and cheese, luxury chocolate wafers, Mexican baked peanuts, marshmallow brownies, and oh, that caramel Bundt cake courtesy of Alma Ford.
Winners of this game included a terrific win for our computer cent, John Harbour and new partner Jack Bogue from Milan; second place was Bob Sanner, Union City and Toni Pritchett and third place Sarah Pentecost and Tom Beard, both of Dresden.
