Patricia Ann “Pat” (Hammonds) Cook, 64, of Union City died Feb. 18, 2012, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Cates, Chris Throgmorton, Stan Throgmorton, Steve Throgmorton, Jesse Muse, Jerry Calhoun, Joe Cunningham and Tommy Hackett. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and David Harris and her Walmart family.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope or the American Diabetes Association.
She was born June 27, 1947, in Union City, daughter of the late James Harold Hammonds and the late Inez (Smith) Hammonds Brinkley. She married Norman Cook March 17, 1990. He died Feb. 28, 2002.
She had been an employee of Walmart and was a member of Mt. Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a life member of the ladies auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Scott Muse and Terri and Bill Adams, all of Union City; her son, Jeff Lowrance of Union City; six grandchildren, Cory Adams of Frederick, Md., Emma Adams, John Adams and Thomas Muse, all of Union City, Sean Lowrance of Gleason and Andrew Lowrance of Dresden; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Adams-Foster of Frederick and Jaidynn Lowrance of Gleason; and her sister-in-law, Emily Hammonds of Wilmington, N.C.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Hammonds.
