RESIDENT OF THE MONTH – Wilma Yost was named Martin Health Care Resident of the Month for January. She has been a resident of MHC for approximately three months. She was married to the late Carol Yost. They were married 35 years. She has two daughters, Patricia of Dresden and Virginia of Florida. She is the grandmother of seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was born in West Virginia in a cotton field and was very premature. The way she survived was in a dresser drawer that served as an incubator. She was employed as a beauty instructor for many years and owned her own shops. Mrs. Yost said she enjoyed working with people and enjoyed her job very much. Some of her favorite hobbies in the nursing home are Bingo, manicures, ice cream social, church events, and singings. She is a social bug and loves to talk and make others laugh, according to a representative. The staff of MHC said, “Wilma is very special and everyone loves to see her coming.
