set sign-up dates

Dresden Cal Ripken & Junior Babe Ruth Baseball will hold its registration period Feb. 11-18.
Registration forms are sent home with Dresden Elementary and Dresden Middle School students. These forms, along with registration fees, may be returned to school. 
On both Saturdays of the registration period, there will be tables set up in the lobby of Dresden Middle School from 9 a.m.-noon. Feb. 18 will be the final day to register.
Forms may also be downloaded from the City of Dresden’s website: www.cityofdresden.com. 
Age categories for Cal Ripken are 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 with age to be determined by May 1, 2012. Ages for Jr. Babe Ruth are 13-15.

Stout fires ace
at Persimmon

John David Stout of Martin had a hole-in-one at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon on Thursday.
Stout used a 7-iron to ace the 177-yard No. 187 hole.
