Fundraiser to benefit shelter

A bake sale fundraiser is planned beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rural King in Martin to benefit Death Row Doggies Rescue in Dresden.
The organization is using the funds to offset recent vetting expenses. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the bake sale will offer homemade baked goodies, including cupcakes, cookies and brownies. Genevieve’s Pet Bakery of Gleason has also provided baked goods for “fur-babies” the day of the sale.
Anyone who wishes to donate baked goods for the sale can drop them off at 9:30 that morning at Rural King. The animal rescue group is also in need of dog food, which can be dropped the day of the sale. For more information about Death Row Doggies, call Deb Ellis at 514-2005 or by email at deathrowdoggies@frontier.com.
