DYERSBURG (AP) — A senior at Dyersburg High School is headed to Washington, D.C., to participate in the White House science fair this week.
The State Gazette reports that Maryanna McClure will be among 10 students in the country to present her science project to President Obama.
The project was based on her breeding and developing colors and fleece type in her Cotswold sheep. It won Tennessee Future Farmers of America competition and the National FFA contest.
McClure hopes to become an agricultural teacher after majoring in ag education and animal science at Tennessee Tech University.
