A trio of alleged vehicle burglars have been arrested by the Dresden Police Department. Dresden Police Chief Randal Walker reported a rash of vehicle burglaries which took place over the weekend in various parts of Dresden.
Targeted in the late-night vehicle thefts were automobiles owed by the city’s mayor and his wife, District Attorney General Tommy Thomas, Assistant District Attorney General Kevin McAlpin and the Stoker family.
Loose change, navigation systems and wallets were apparently taken during the thefts. The vehicles were unlocked.
Walker said Sgt. Danny Taylor and officer Elizabeth Woods worked a lead for several hours Tuesday evening and made arrests in the case.
Arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle were 20-year Nicholas Arthur Bruce of Dresden; Dakota Elbert Drake, 18, of Dresden; and 19-year-old Jerry Tyler Morefield of Dresden.
