Clare McConnell of Obion County was recently crowned Miss Parsons Peavine Teen Princess 2012 in a pageant held at Decatur County Middle School in Parsons. Her court included second runner-up Laura Ann Higgs, first runner-up Ashleigh Douglas and second runner-up Taylor Inman. During the event, winners were crowned in the Miss Parsons Peavine, Teen Princess and Outstanding Teen competitions for young ladies. Brooke Stegeman of Dyersburg was crowned the 2012 Miss Parsons Peavine, while Sarah Catherine Belew was chosen as Outstanding Teen. For the win, Miss Stegeman earned the right to represent the festival in June at the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant, as well as a $500 gift certificate and a gift certificate to Joann’s in Union City.
