The Dresden Police Department is investigating a string of auto burglaries which reportedly took place over the weekend.
Various neighborhoods and homes were targeted throughout the city limits, according to Dresden Police Chief Randal Walker.
Three homes on Highway 22, a home on Cox Street, another on Oakdale Street, two houses on Pikeview Street, one on Beyers Street and two other houses on Meadowlawn Drive have filed reports with the department for apparent vehicle burglaries.
Walker said navigation systems, wallets and loose change were reportedly taken from the vehicles parked at the residences from Friday through Sunday evening. The vehicles were unlocked.
The police chief urged residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times and not leave valuables in plain sight.
Walker also warned church-goers to lock their vehicles during church services as one church was also the target of a burglary over the weekend.
He advised church members to securely lock church doors after services.
The department is seeking any information from the public regarding the alleged vehicle burglaries.
If anyone has any information regarding the incidents, call Crimestoppers at 587-2611 or the Dresden Police Department at 364-2270.
Tipsters will remain anonymous and information leading to an arrest and conviction may be worth up to $1,000.
