’Buster foe now known

The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team will travel to Hammond, La., to take on Southeastern Louisiana in the 10th annual ESPN Sears BracketBuster on Saturday, Feb. 18. Tip-off will take place at 6 p.m.
The Skyhawks are 3-3 all-time in the BracketBuster event — which features 142 teams this season — but are 2-1 in BracketBuster road games.
UT Martin has faced Southeastern Louisiana 10 times in the past, sporting a 3-7 all-time record. All games were played from 1972-79 when both teams were competing in the Gulf South Conference.
The Lions are currently 8-11 overall with a 2-5 Southland Conference record. Southeastern Louisiana was selected fourth in the Southland preseason polls and return six players from last season’s 15-14 campaign. The Lions are guided by head coach Jim Yarbrough, who is 104-93 in his seventh season at the helm.
