A Union City man reported his car was recently stolen from his former residence.
Jared Hamlin told police Friday evening that his white 1997 Chrysler Sebring was taken from where it was parked at his previous residence at 205 North Home St. in Union City.
According to a Union City Police Department report, Hamlin indicated he and his father had talked with a local towing service about towing the vehicle, but they never got it towed.
On Jan. 18, a white rollback wrecker, with no company name on the side, came to the residence and towed the vehicle. Hamlin’s previous roommates told him the vehicle was towed. Hamlin told police he checked with the vehicle lien holder and it was up-to-date on payments, according to the report.
