|Fulton police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian in critical condition. |
Fulton Police Chief Terry Powell said police responded about 8:50 p.m. Saturday to a report of someone lying on the ground and screaming near the cemetery on North Highland Drive.
The male victim, a resident of Fulton, told police he was walking east on North Highland Drive in Fulton when he was struck by a vehicle, which did not stop to render aid.
The victim’s name was not disclosed by the Fulton Police Department.
He was transported by ambulance to Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton and later transferred to Regional Medical Center (the Med) in Memphis since he was in critical condition, according to Powell.
The Fulton Police Department is asking anyone with any information about the hit-and-run incident on North Highland Drive near the cemetery to call the police department at (270) 472-3141. Published in The Messenger 1.24.12
