Completed arrangements are being announced for Erma Marie (Dyer) Rogers, 89, of Washington, Mo., formerly of Obion, who died Jan. 22, 2012, at her home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. Marvin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Parham, Russell Cunningham, Samuel Huey Jr., Morris Jackson Jr., Waymon Dyer, Chris Brauer, Jimmy Dyer and Terry Burkeen. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Dyer, T.J. Burkeen, Eric Burkeen, Wesley Nabors and Kevin Jackson.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Obion County, daughter of the late Leonard H. and Mary Lena (Donnell) Dyer. She married Lagrone Rogers in 1958. He died in 1972. She was a retired nurse’s aide for the former John Gaston Hospital in Memphis and was a Baptist.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Jackson of Decatur, Ala., Sharon and Mark Shute of Collierville and Peggy and Joe Becker of Washington, Mo.; two sons and her daughter-in-law, Eugene and Margie Edmaiston of Denver and Jerry Edmaiston of Waco, Texas; her sister, Myrtle Bradford of Tullahoma; two brothers, Lloyd Dyer of Troy and Walter Dyer of Dyer; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, her son, her brother and her sister.
