I am sure that most of you have heard about the alleged incident in Dresden, which reportedly occurred over the weekend.
Details are not important in this article, but learning how to be safe is very important. Remember to check your doors and windows each night before going to bed. Also, if someone you do not know knocks on your door after dark be very careful before you open the door. If you still don’t recognize them, let them know that you are calling the police. If they are people with reason to be there, they will wait for the police to check out the situation. If they don’t wait, you may have just saved your life. It’s a scary world. Just be sure you take the necessary precautions to protect your family and yourself.
Our community, though small, is a great place to live. I am so thankful that we have good people here and they look out for one another. People seem to care when someone is sick or just under the weather, and knowing that goes a long way.
Remember that a simple phone call or email will allow people to know you are thinking of them and that you care about them as well. Remember to check on each other and be thankful that God has richly blessed this community.
The Sharon Senior Center is the place to go if you want to socialize. Your age is not a factor. They always need someone to play cards, games, dominoes, ping-pong and many other activities. Why don’t you come out and meet the gang? Be sure you stop by and pick up the prepared calendar so you know the dates of the activities and of any closings. If you need information about the Sharon Senior Center, call 456-2213.
If you want your information in our birthday and anniversary list, please email or call me. You will find my information at the bottom of the article.
Penney Willis will celebrate her birthday Sunday. Sandra Johnson will celebrate her birthday Tuesday. Jana Ring will celebrate her birthday Jan. 26.
The thought for the week: “Happy people make people happy, but I can’t make people be happy, just as no one can make me be happy.” If you have a thought you would like to share with the readers, email or call and I will put it in my article.
My email is email@example.com and phone number is 456-9823.
Well, that’s all the news from the Sharon community. Remember to continue to pray for one another, our community and our military. May God have mercy on our land and bless you all.
