Commodities will be distributed by Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 9 a.m.-noon at the following locations:
• South Fulton’s Municipal Complex Monday for recipients from South Fulton;
• Hornbeak City Hall Tuesday for recipients from Hornbeak and Samburg;
• Obion Community Center Wednesday for recipients from Obion:
• Thursday at the Union City office at 1015 East College St. for Union City and Kenton recipients. Distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information, call Sarah Kay at 885-0462 or go by the office.
Those hoping to receive food must have a pink card. Those who do not have the card must bring proper proof or income for everyone living in the household. No applications will be accepted without verification.
Because of a shortage of inventory, some food items may run out before everyone receives the same number, a spokesman said. NWTEDC will no longer provide boxes and no longer come to individual towns. These changes will be noted for participants when they recertify in March.
