Completed arrangements are being announced for the Rev. Robert H. Jetton, 63, of Jackson, formerly of Obion County, who went home to be with the Lord at 8:55 p.m. Jan. 15, 2012, at his home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Maury City United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Archer will officiate and burial will follow in Maury City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service is planned for Friday at 2 p.m. at Forest Heights United Methodist Church at 863 West Forest Ave. in Jackson. Friends may call at the church from noon-2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Reelfoot Rural Ministries, 6923 Minnick-Elbridge Road, Obion, TN 38240; Lakeshore United Methodist Assembly, 1458 Pilot Knob Road, Eva, TN 38333; or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Rev. Jetton was born March 19, 1948, in Madison County, son of Allie Mae (Holder) Jetton of Maury City and the late James Royce Jetton. He married the former Beverlyann Milam March 21, 1987. She survives. He was a United Methodist minister for 24 years and had served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Kris Booth of Danville, Va.; two sons and his daughter-in-law, David and Paige Jetton of Corinth, Miss., and Duane Jetton of Erkheim, Germany; four grandchildren, Mattie Booth and Dawson Booth, both of Danville, Melanie Jetton and Vanessa Jetton, both of Erkheim, and Ansley Jetton of Corinth; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy (Jetton) and Robert Haynes of Brownsville and Linda (Jetton) and Charles Cozzens of Clarksville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Barry Neal and Beverly Jetton and James and Cindy Jetton, all of Maury City; and several nieces and nephews.
