The Ken-Tenn Homecoming & Reunion Inc. will mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day with two special events Monday in the Twin Cities.
The theme for this year’s activities is “Where Do We Go From Here?”
The activities will start with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Pontotoc Community Center in downtown Fulton. Dr. Brian Clardy, a South Fulton High School graduate who is assistant professor of history and coordinator of religious studies at Murray (Ky.) State University, will be the guest speaker.
Tickets for the luncheon are $10 each and can be purchased from Helen Lee at Fulton City Hall or from Beatrice Wilcox.
An evening service will begin at 6:30 Monday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in South Fulton, where the Rev. Marvin Mercer is pastor. The Rev. Russell Morrow of Greenfield First United Methodist Church will be the guest speaker and the Twin City Community Choir will provide music under the direction of the Rev. Jessie Webb.
The public is invited to attend.
