Lions get no threat from CA

Dresden practically had the night off Friday.
Traveling to Carroll Academy for a District 13A doubleheader, the Lion teams had the outcomes locked up by the end of the first quarter with a 64-21 boys’ win and 62-4 girls’ decision.
Each Dresden team pitched a shutout quarter in the first half, the Lady Lions outscoring CA 22-0 in the first period and the boys putting up an 11-0 total in the second frame.
Tyler McPeak led Dres-den with 16 points, while Austin Maxey added 13.
Dresden led 23-5 after one quarter, 34-5 at the half and 54-12 by the end of the third quarter.
The Lady Lions jumpued out to a 22-0 lead at the end of the first period and held a 36-1 advantage at the half. Dresden’s lead was 51-4 at the end of the third period, and then Carroll Academy went another quarter without scoring.
Ashlee Garner scored 13 poins and both Asa Woodward and Jessica Jones pitched in 12 each for Dresden. Published in The WCP 1.10.12
