Completed arrangements are being announced for Kathy (Diviney) Childress, 51, of the Gardner community near Martin, who died 7 p.m. Jan. 9, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was a former resident of Obion County.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. George Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Childress was born May 24, 1960, in Chicago, daughter of Hollis “Popeye” Diviney of Troy and Ann (Cook) Lockhart of Hamilton, Miss. She married Kevin Childress Jan. 14, 2000. He survives. She was a homemaker.
She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and George Moore of Hot Springs, Ark.; her stepmother, Frances Diviney of Troy; two granddaughters, Macayden Moore and Emma Moore, both of Hot Springs; two brothers, Gary Diviney and Tim Diviney, both of Troy; her sister, Melissa Barnes of Water Valley, Ky.; and two aunts, Jean Mills of Martin and Pat Napier of Union City.
