DECEMBER WORKSHOP — Each month the Obion County Public Library and the University of Tennessee Obion County 4-H Program team up to provide craft workshops for children grades K-6. These workshops provide students with vital life skills such as independence, good self-esteem and the ability to think creatively. The December workshop celebrated Christmas. Youth designed pine cone elf ornaments and created reindeer cupcakes in take-home boxes. TAG volunteers assisting during the workshop included Rayanna Fleenor, Brandon Fleenor, Tevin Wilkerson and Aaron Scott. 4-H volunteers assisting during the workshop included 4-H All Star Logan Stephens and 4-H’er Madelyn Hogan. The next workshop will be held on Jan. 25 and will celebrate winter. Pre-registration is required and anyone interested may do so by contacting children’s librarian Jenny Virgin at 885-7000. Those attending the December workshop were (front, from left) Wilkerson, Dylan Cornette, Anthony Brewer, Scott, (middle) Abigail Brewer, Kendyl Morrow, Maggie Suiter, (back) Miss Hogan, Jacob Virgin, Rayanna Fleenor, Brandon Fleenor, Cassie Fleenor and Stephens.
