Turkey quota hunt application info provided

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces application procedures for 2012 turkey quota hunts to be held on the Long Point and Grassy Island units of Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge on April 6th-8th , 2012. Applicants will be accepted at the refuge office or postmarked within the month of January, 2012. In February, a drawing will be used to randomly select 25 permittees for the Grassy Island unit, and 25 permittees for the Long Point unit of the refuge. A permit fee of $12.50 per hunter is payable upon notification of selection for the quota hunt. To apply for the drawing, applicants must;
1.) Submit a stamped, self addressed (your name on the front and center of the post card), U.S. Postal Service Postcard in an envelope addressed to:

2.) Type or CLEARLY print the following information on the back of the U.S. Postal Service Postcard: Name, address and phone number for up to 3 hunters and choice of hunting area; Long Point or Grassy Island.
3.) Place your U.S. Postal Service Post card in an envelope, and mail to the refuge office by the end of January to the address listed above.

Applicants may only apply for one unit on the refuge.
The submission of multiple cards and illegible or incomplete name or address will disqualify the applicant(s). Grassy Island hunters must comply with hunting regulations for Tennessee while Long Point hunters must comply with hunting regulations for either Tennessee or Kentucky in accordance with the state in which their license was purchased.
Federal hunting regulations also apply. The bag limit is 1 bearded turkey which counts as a bonus turkey. If a juvenile is participating, both the juvenile and their supervising adult must apply together on the same postcard in order to be eligible for a refuge permit. If selected, the juvenile must be under direct supervision of the adult during the hunt.
