KSP offering academy

The Kentucky State Police, Post One, is accepting applications for the 2012 KSP Citizens Police Academy.
Anyone at least 18 years of age living within the KSP Post One district — which includes Fulton County, Ky. — is welcome to apply.
The 10-week academy is set to begin Feb. 15 and conclude April 18. Students will meet Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. to learn about the many facets of the KSP, including patrol, criminal investigations and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated law enforcement training during the course.
The academy’s first week will be held at the KSP post on Highway 45 in Graves County, Ky. The following nine weeks will be held at the Murray/Calloway County (Ky.) Transit Authority Community Room, located at 1111 Transit Way in Murray, Ky.
