To honor Dr. King

The Ken-Tenn Homecoming & Reunion Inc. will be observing the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Jan. 16, beginning with a luncheon at the Pontotoc Community Center in Fulton at 11:30. Dr. Brian Clardy, an assistant professor of history and coordinator of religious studies at Murray State University in Kentucky, will be the guest speaker. He is a graduate of South Fulton High School.
Tickets for the luncheon are $10 and may be purchased from Helen Lee at Fulton City Hall or from Beatrice Wilcox.
The theme for this year’s activities is “Where do we go from here?”
The Rev. Marvin Mercer of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in South Fulton will serve as the host pastor for the evening service starting at 6:30. The Rev. Russell Morrow of Greenfield First United Methodist Church will be the speaker and the Twin City Community Choir will provide the music under the direction of Dr. Jessie Webb.
The community is welcome to attend.
