Gleason alum named
softball head coach

Jason Canaday is back home and working on a new diamond.
A 2007 Gleason High School graduate, Canaday has been named to take over the school’s softball program.
He takes over the program from Joel Ayers, who coached the program for seven years.
Ayers is now the high school and junior high girls’ basketball head coach and resigned his softball duties over the summer to devote more time to the two hoops programs
Canaday, just 23, is in his first year teaching at his alma mater and is a 2011 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie.
During his time as a Gleason student, Canaday was a member of the Bulldogs’ baseball team.
He takes over a Lady Bulldog softball squad that posted a 4-16 record last season
