Kermit Mongar, 68, of Troy died Dec. 27, 2011, at his home.
Services were Saturday at Reyers North Valley Chapel in Grand Rapids, Mich., with burial following in Rosedale Cemetery.
He was born in 1943 in Michigan, son of the late Elbert Henry and Myra (Dame) Mongar.
He married the former Opal Darlene Woods in 1977. She died Oct. 26, 2004.
He was a retired employee of Grand Rapids Veterans Facility, where he worked in the maintenance department, and he had served in the National Guard.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Samantha Dunn of Troy and Andy and Tonya Wesche and Aaron and Agnes Wesche, all of Michigan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Brian Lovell and Debra and Don Miller, all of Michigan; eight brothers and sisters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and his granddaughter.
