Katelynne “Kati” McClung has been chosen as a recipient of a University of Memphis Association of Retirees (UMAR) Scholarship.
She is the daughter of Kyle and Vicki (Nipp) McClung of Bartlett. Her grandparents are Ferrell and Sue Nipp of Union City and R.B. and Peggy McClung of Jonesboro, Ark.
Miss McClung is a senior psychology major at U of M, where she is a member of the University Honors Program and has been named to the Dean’s List each semester. She received the Study Abroad Scholarship and participated in a Study Abroad Experience in Paris and Brussels.
She is a member of Golden Key International Honor Society, Chi Beta Phi National Scientific Honorary, Psi Chi National Psychology Honor Society, the Environmental Action Club and the U of M Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She has served as a volunteer research assistant for Dr. Jeffrey S. Berman’s Psychotherapy Lab and Dr. Robert A. Neimeyer’s Grief and Loss Lab.
Her father is a member of the physical plant staff at U of M.
