Art classes for children and adults will begin at the Obion County Museum this month on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
On Tuesdays at 2 p.m., there will be a class for homeschoolers and at 3:30, a class for school-age youth. During the winter months this class focuses on drawing, painting and theory. Supplies are furnished and classes are $10 each.
Adult classes begin at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each Thursday. Adults study acrylics, water color, water color pencils and pastels. Supplies are furnished but participants may bring favorite brushes or canvas.
“The classes are for beginners and experienced artists alike and we have a lot of fun,” said instructor Marti Doss. “It frequently takes a class for ‘art folk’ to stay in practice.”
The $10 fee per class goes to the Obion County Museum, which is located at 1004 Edwards St. in Union City.
