UC native is certified

Union City native Brenda Caldwell Jones, vice president of loan review for Heritage Bank, was recently awarded the certified regulatory compliance manager designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers.
The institute is a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C.
The announcement of Mrs. Jones’ certification was made by John Peck, president and CEO of Heritage Bank.
Mrs. Jones currently lives in Clarksville with her husband. She is a graduate of Union City High School and holds a bachelor of science degree in information systems from Austin Peay State University.
She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Murray State University in Kentucky.
Mrs. Jones joined the Heritage Bank family in 2002 and has more than 13 years of experience in the banking industry.
The CRCM designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of bank regulatory compliance.
To qualify for the CRCM certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the compliance profession, pass an exam and agree to abide by a code of ethics.
The CRCM exam covers regulatory requirements as they relate to credit, deposits/securities, safety and soundness, information reporting and corporate responsibility.
Heritage Bank has neighborhood banking operations in the Kentucky cities of Hopkinsville, Elkton, Cadiz, Murray, Benton, Calvert City and Fulton and Pleasant View, Ashland City, Kingston Springs, Erin and Clarksville in Tennessee.
