Schedule changed
Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will have Christmas Day services beginning at 10 a.m.
There will be no Sunday school.
The Rev. John Brooks and the Shiloh church family invite everyone to meet them for worship on Christmas Day.

Christmas services set
The congregation of Union City First United Methodist Church will meet for worship on Christmas Day at 10 a.m.
This will be the only worship service that day and there will be no Sunday school.
The church will celebrate Holy Communion at the annual Christmas Eve service at 6 Saturday.
This is a special time of music, scripture, prayer, communion and celebration.
The community is invited to join them.
The Rev. Stan Waldon is pastor and the Rev. Scott Smyth is associate pastor.

One service slated
Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church will have one service Sunday. Worship and communion are planned for 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Bobby Williams and the congregation invite the public to worship with them on this special day.

Services slated
Union City First Christian Christmas Eve service is at 6 p.m., with the Christmas Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. 
“Come celebrate the First Christmas at the First Christian Church, the first church established in Union City,” a spokesman said.

One service set
Woodland Mills First Baptist Church will celebrate the birth of Jesus with one worship service Sunday.
The Christmas Day service will begin at 11 a.m. There will be no Sunday School and no evening service.
The Rev. Rick Burton, pastor, and the congregation invite the community to attend.

Services changed
Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City has moved this Sunday’s service time from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in order to allow for extra family time on Christmas morning.
There will be no Bible classes afterwards and no Sunday night services.
The church invites everyone to come and enjoy Christmas services with them.

Services announced
Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church is announcing its Christmas schedule.
A nursery will be provided for all services and the Sunday morning worship service will be broadcast live on WOBT-TV.
There is also live Internet streaming at www.livestream.com/wuwttv.
On Saturday, there will be a come-and-go communion service from 5-6 p.m. Members and visitors are invited to this special time of worship.
On Sunday, the worship service at 11 will be abbreviated and will include sharing the joy of the Messiah’s birth in praise and song and prayer.
There will be no Sunday school or Holy Grounds coffee fellowship and no early morning prayer service this week.

Special times planned
Faith Lutheran Church, located at 2012 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, will have a candlelight Christmas Eve communion service beginning at 7 p.m.
The Christmas Day services will begin with worship at 9 a.m., followed by Bible class and Sunday school at 10:30.
“A warm welcome awaits all who wish to celebrate the birth of Jesus,” a spokesman said.

Play to be repeated
Blessed Hope Baptist Church will have an encore presentation of the play, “Interview With Santa” this evening at 7. The church is located at 126 South Maple St. in Troy.
There will be puppets and music and Santa will be on hand to answer questions and tell of his timeless adventures.
This is the second presentation of the program, due to its initial popularity.
The public is invited to attend and learn why Santa is also called “Saint Nick.”

Grace church
sends greetings
The congregation of Grace Presbyterian Church extends special Christmas greetings to the community and invites all to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christmas Eve at 6, with a service of lessons and carols, concluding with Holy Communion; and on Christmas at 10:50 a.m., when there will be a worship service with Holy Communion.

Special service planned
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hickman, Ky., will have Christmas Eve services at 5, with the Rev. Richard Galloway and the congregation inviting the community to join them.

Service change told
Mt. Zion CME  Church in Union City will be worshiping on Christmas at 9:30 a.m.
This is a change of service time because of the holiday.
The congregation will resume a regular worship time of 2 p.m. on Jan. 1.
The Rev. Darrel Turner and the congregation invite the community to attend.

Church to gather
Members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Crystal community near Union City will celebrate Christmas at 10 a.m. Sunday with carols, scripture from Luke 2 and the Lords’ Supper.
The Rev. Steve Carr and the congregation invite the community to attend.
To reach the church, take Highway 22 West, also known as Old Lake Road, and turn right on Crystal Road at the first right past Preuett’s Quik Mart. Travel two miles to the church, which is on the left side of the road.

To worship at 11 p.m.
Members of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, located at 1422 Pleasant Valley Ave. in Union City, will host a Christmas Eve communion service at 11 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Invitation issued
The congregation  of Union City First Assembly of God invites the community to join them Saturday for a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service starting at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, First Assembly will have one service only beginning at 10:30 a.m.
