Completed arrangements are being announced for Ronnie Stanford Keaton, 90, of El Paso, Ill., a former resident of Samburg, who died 3:11 p.m. Dec. 18, 2011, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Samburg, son of the late James Dee and Effie Irene (Davis) Keaton. He was a graduate of the former Hornbeak High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired after 35 years of service with Caterpillar in Peoria, Ill. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the El Paso Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both in El Paso. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his cousin and his wife, Claude and Jane Shaw of Winchester, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Morgan.
