Tom Hicks Posted: Monday, December 19, 2011 2:53 pm The Messenger, December 16, 2011 Thomas “Tom” Hicks, 75, of Dukedom died 4:40 a.m. Dec. 15, 2011, at Parkway Regional Hosptial in Fulton. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Dr. Ron Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today. The family requests that memorials be made to South Fulton Baptist Church “Harvest the Vision” building fund, 509 Forestdale Ave., South Fulton, TN 38257; or the charity of the donor’s choice. He was born June 15, 1936, in Bragg City, Mo., son of the late Winfield Fred and Iola (Shanks) Hicks. He was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church and was a former pipefitter at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. who had retired in 1998. He was a Mason and had also lived in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hicks; his son, Bryan Hicks of Dukedom; two daughters and his son-in-law, Cheryl Hicks and Kathy and Greg Clouse, all of Dukedom; four grandchildren, Maggie Hicks, Jonathan Clouse, Kyle Clouse and Seth Hicks, all of Dukedom; his great-grandchild, Avery Carlton of Dukedom; his sister, Dorothy Burleson of Hanceville, Ala.; and his brother, Jim Hicks of South Fulton.
