To the Editor,
Congress’ job approval rating is at 13 percent.  Eighty-one percent of Americans are unhappy with government.  Seventy-one percent of Americans favor term limits, yet the majority of us continue re-electing the same self-serving politicians who continue to bankrupt America.
According to Albert Einstein, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If Einstein is right, the majority of us are obviously insane.
In the 2012 primary elections both parties should oust as many incumbents as possible whose voting record doesn’t measure up to reflect that of a fiscally responsible individual with respect for our Constitution. If in doubt kick them out.
Visit www.heritageactionscorecard.com and see how our U.S. senators and representatives vote and the score given to them by the Heritage Foundation.
Sen. Corker has a failing grade. Bob well earned his nickname – Bailout Bob. Over the last year Sen. Corker has met with groups of Tennesseans over 60 times denouncing our out-of-control debt. This is like Barney Frank denouncing sub-prime loans.
It’s not unusual for politicians to campaign against problems they create. Bob Corker’s votes over the last three years for bailouts and spending totals near $4 trillion. Bob is trying to impersonate a conservative and win the votes of people with no clue of his liberal voting record.
Unfortunately for Bailout Bob, voters are wising up. Fortunately for us, Bob Corker is being challenged in the primary election. If enough voters look at Bob Corker’s voting record for big spending, we can cull him regardless of his considerable wealth. Bob loves bailouts. Bailouts are nothing less than rewarding failure. Rewarding failure is perfect folly. What we reward we get more of.
