Airport to receive state grant
Union City – State Sen. Roy Herron announced Tuesday the Everett-Stewart Regional Airport in Union City will receive $13,900 in funds for electrical work at the airfield.
“This grant is one more step toward more jobs, both in attracting industries and helping area industries and businesses grow,” Herron said. “Companies large and small want access to a first-class airport, and those companies can create the jobs our citizens need.”
The grants are made available through the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division.
